We invite you all to our next panel discussion and Q&A, as we explore the impact of technology on disinformation, conflict and development around the world.

We will be welcoming Denise Xifara (data scientist and founder at Nupinion), Paul Jasper (development economist and deputy portfolio leader at Cross-Cutting team at Oxford Policy Management) and James Lavender (founder at IDEAS Globally, who experienced disinformation first-hand in Myanmar’s conflicted Rakhine state).

The panellists will discuss how social media, news platforms and data policy have enabled disinformation to motivate internal tensions, debilitate political transition and shift democratic processes. During the Q&A, you will also have the opportunity to share your thoughts and questions with our guest speakers and audience.

The event is open to all and members of the public, so feel free to also bring any friends along. We look forward to seeing you there!
